Leadership Coaching

​Coaching is a process where by asking the right questions people are helped to become aware of what is happening and what they personally do, and then take responsibility for their actions and results, while evolving their abilities.

You certainly understand how the above principles can help any company, manager, director or company owner; when people (employees, executives) increase their self-knowledge and become accountable for their outcomes-everyone in his/her domain-then a lot of good things happen in the organization:

a) Less supervision is required; time is freed for the manager / leader; delegation and decentralization are obtained
b) Better results / enhanced performance are achieved as people take ownership for what they do and do their best
c) Workers seize waiting for the next command to be given in order to act; they take initiatives, while they develop their own potential (knowledge, skills, competencies) and self-belief
d) Motivation is raised and shifted from extrinsic to intrinsic; employee engagement is enhanced as a result

In that way, the organization is continually growing as its people are growing. At the same time, workplace climate is drastically improved and a culture of learning, commitment and progress is established.

On the other hand, adopting a coaching style in management / leadership does not imply that rules and controls are abandoned. They do exist, but they are set up and operate within a cooperative spirit and delivered with a communication style where feedback is given to and taken from subordinates, so that people are rendered “owners” of their deeds and act as “adults” in terms of their ability to think and act maturely.
